From Mick Jagger’s I don’t get no satisfaction to “Firework,” Katy Perry’s recent hit – Do you ever feel like a plastic bag, drifting through the wind, wanting to start again? Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin, Like a house of cards, one blow from caving in?  There is a universal longing for purpose, meaning…some kind of significance.

3000 years ago one of the wisest men who ever lived, King Solomon, had it all…literally. He tried everything yet was still looking for meaning to his life. The book of Ecclesiastes is the “journal” of his quest for meaning. Ecclesiastes tells about life, the way it really is. It wrestles with the tedium of work, the emptiness of pleasure, the injustices of this life, the ravages of aging, and the inevitability of death. Its wisdom though is in teaching us to look at life from God’s point of view and to trust God even in the midst of life’s struggles. Solomon’s words challenge us and ultimately lead us to find real purpose and meaning in life.

So please do something that matters. Join us this weekend as we study this Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes and learn how to give your life true meaning and purpose.
